Simple Suggestions For Restarting Your Life

Time to Spring Ahead!

Spring time brings yet another opportunity to start again to change your life. We are offered chances every day, but to coordinate with nature we can energize our efforts to make a different life. First you need to choose to be different. The quote I love to illustrate this is "To become a butterfly, you must be willing to give up being a caterpillar."

Look at what you fear in being different. The biggest fear for many of us is the fear of the unknown. We know what we have, and even though it might not be what we want, at least we know what to expect. Being different can be scary for some if us. After all we got this far being as we are. The truth is that if we want to get further along our path, we need to be willing to change.

If you're not sure what has been holding you back, take your thumb and index finger, and hold them tightly together. Now make a statement about yourself that you know to be true. Attempt to pull your finger and thumb apart with your other hand. They won't part.

Now state something that you know to be false. Try again. Your thumb and finger will part. That is your truth detector. Now continue to make statements about what you think might be holding you back. See what comes forward for you.

Once you realize what has been holding you back, you can now address it consciously. Don't make yourself wrong for having held yourself back. Chances are it's something you learned as a child. Now you can choose differently and begin the process to making your life the one you really want.
